Untitled No.58

The first painting from my 11th series of abstracts.
For this set, I wanted to create a sense of depth by utilising patterns blended into the background as well as experimenting further with colour.
As such, for the first of this series, I decided to try to combine bold colours but in a way that was quite subtle. I feel that the resulting work manages this with the various shades of red and yellow sitting nicely upon the pale blue background.
There is also a sense of movement, which is aided by the gold highlights.
