Untitled No.70

From my 12th series of abstracts.
This was my first work on canvas, after years of working on paper, and another piece that contrasts strong background colours with subtle tones on top. It was also around this time that I began to experiment with three-dimensional imagery.
This is one of the few works which utilise a metallic colour blended into the background and the sparse gold highlights serve to emphasise the foreground, rather than to overpower it.
