Untitled No.89

This is another piece that mainly features bold, primary colours. The blues and yellows of the foreground contrast well with the background, whilst the background itself is also well contrasted, with the black working effectively against the bright red.
I’m often told that my work has an underwater feel to it, and while the marine world is an inspiration, it is never a conscious process.
This painting however sees that inspiration clearly, especially as the foreground sections appear to move as if beneath the sea.
This painting is currently on display at the Torwood House Hotel, Penzance, Cornwall.
