Untitled No.1d

From my 4th series of what I term “mini- abstracts”.
I’ve intermittently produced these over the years, as an inexpensive alternative to my main work.
While the sizes vary, they are always on a smaller scale and as such are relatively simple in composition, although produced with the same care.
This is the first in a set created for the “What Will You See?” exhibition at Ripley Arts Centre, Bromley, Kent in 2008.
The colour scheme was inspired by a photo that I’d taken in Pompeii (see The Temple of Apollo) and for me works well due to its unusual combination.

Series D/Painting 1 (2008) Acrylic on Canvas 9” X 12”
