Untitled No.106

The fourth painting from my 16th (and most recent) series of abstracts.
This has a relatively unusual choice of colour - in terms of setting, that is. While I have used pinks and purples before, I’ve not used them quite like this: placing such colours against a mainly yellow ochre background (albeit with a pale mauve central line, an unusual combination in itself) creates an interesting contrast, which, to my mind, brings them to life in a rather vivid manner.
As with the previous works in this set, there’s a certain sense of motion (as well as depth), which, combined with the colour scheme, makes this a nicely unique work.
