Inner Landscapes

An album of Ambient-style instrumentals.
Originally conceived to accompany my exhibition private views, the aim was to create music which would work both as aural ambience and as music in its own right.

Track descriptions as follows:

First Impressions: A melodic introduction with a sparse arrangement of acoustic guitar and keyboards.

Abstract Concepts: Bass harmonics establish a percussive backdrop interspersed with keyboards and further bass to create an evocative piece.

The View from Here: An atmospheric piece comprised of bass and acoustic guitar.

Unframed: An acoustic guitar introduces a multi-sectioned track combining bass, keyboards and percussion.

Primary Colours: Bass and keyboards blend to give an almost “primal” feel.

Shifting Focus: A contemplative piece on acoustic guitar.

Aerial Perspective: A rhythmic piece composed and performed entirely on bass.

Still Life: Various keyboard parts combine to give a “Greco-Roman” quality to the closing track.
