The first painting in my 7th series of mini-abstracts.
For this set, My intention for this set was to add a sense of dynamism by changing the angle of the background - having a central diagonal line adds a certain urgency to the work and I was keen to see how this idea developed. For a first, this piece works rather well, both as a colour scheme (the blues sit nicely against the reds and oranges) and as a composition (there’e a certain “volcanic” look to the overall picture.)
While not as complex as some of my other work (both large and small) this is a personal favourite.
